Honey settling tanks

Each apiary needs a solution to remove wax particles or other impurities from honey. Their origin is usually natural and does not pose a threat to the safety of the honey consumer. However, due to the appearance of the product, it is important to get rid of those elements that could discourage customers from buying in the apiary. One of the simple but effective solutions to this problem are gravity settlers.

Konigin gravity clarifiers offer

The offer of Konigin gravity clarifiers is very wide, so everyone can adjust the selected solution to individual needs. For the sake of the highest quality, all honey purification and filling tanks are made of acid-proof stainless steel. The smallest clarifier has a capacity of 25 kg. This cylindrical container is equipped with handles for easy carrying or washing and a flap valve for draining honey, e.g. directly into the jars. The clarifier also functions as a device for packing honey. Other such vessels have a capacity of 50 l and 70 l. Optionally, they can be equipped with integrated stands. For apiaries with more abundant honey extractions, we offer tanks with a capacity of 100 l, 150 l, 200 l and 300 l. The first one may have handles for carrying or a factory stand, the others are available in the second option. For farms where honey harvesting is really successful, we recommend clarifying tanks with a capacity of 500 l, 800 l, 1000 l and 2000 l. A product of a different design is a honey filter with two vertical sieves and two partitions to separate the wax from the honey. It is a vessel with a horizontal orientation and a capacity of 160 l. The honey is purified not by gravity, but by flow. To make most of it and to obtain the best effect, the decanter should cooperate with the honey pump.

All vessels for gravity honey purification are equipped with lids that prevent honey from getting dirty or coming into contact with, for example, insects. A gravity decanter is an investment made once in many years. Thanks to it, the honey offered for sale is clear and free from impurities. This is important in the context of its sale on an increasingly competitive market.

Heated honey clarifiers

Many apiaries in Poland specialize in obtaining rapeseed honey. It is the leading species in our market. Although winter rape plantations are established almost all over the country, this honey is not easy to process. It happens that the product crystallizes immediately after the honey harvest or even during it. Pouring honey in late summer also causes some problems. Usually, it is cool in the workshop, and in such conditions, honey packaging takes much longer, putting the beekeeper's patience to a serious test. The solution to both problems can be a heated honey tank.

Heated clarifiers - offer overview

These two periods of the year are the time when heating the clarifiers is the most useful. However, even in the high season, having such an equipment has many advantages. Warm honey clears faster. It is also easier to pour into jars. The time saving when it is only 10 ° C warmer (e.g. 35 ° C instead of 25 ° C, the temperature normally in the studio in summer) can be very significant.

The range of gravity heated clarifiers offered by us is very wide. The capacity of such vessels starts from 100 l. Further sizes are 150 l, 200 l, 300 l, 500 l and 800 l. The largest heated tank has a capacity of 1000 l. All these vessels are equipped with integrated stands. Everyone also has a thermometer that allows you to control the settings. These clarifiers are equipped with flap valves as standard. Stainless steel dosing valves are also perfect for hot honey filling. They have no blind spots and are additionally equipped with an anti-drip system.

All heated clarifiers are made of acid-proof stainless steel. Each of them, in addition, in the set has a cover that protects against contamination or contact with bees or other insects that may be in the workplace during honey picking and clarification.

Stainless steel settlers with a stirrer

Settling tanks equipped with a stirrer are a perfect solution for those apiaries where batches of honey are standardized. This may be needed when the same type of honey is obtained from different locations. It can also prove useful when the honey has a fairly high water content. If you have a tank with a stirrer, you can only dry the honey from the least sewn combs, i.e. those where it is the most humid. Then adding such a batch of dried honey to the remainder of it and standardizing the whole in a tank may be a sufficient measure to prevent fermentation.

Settling tanks with a stirrer

Currently, there are 8 items in this product category. The smallest of this type of clarifiers has a capacity of 100 l. The next sizes are 150 l, 200 l, 300 l, 500 l, 800 l and 1000 l. The largest tank with an agitator is 2000 l. Such a wide range of capacities means that everyone can choose the best option adapted to the needs of the farm.

Heated settling tanks with a stirrer

This option seems to be the most perfect variant of the clarifier. A container equipped not only with heating but also with an agitator gives you the most possibilities. It can be used for gravity purification of honey, but also for standardization. The honey can be heated during the bottling time, which will shorten the work considerably. In this product category, the beekeeper can choose a tank with the capacity of unheated containers.

Full option!

Each of the settling tanks with the agitator is made entirely of acid-proof stainless steel. Thanks to this, it is possible to obtain the final product of uncompromising quality. The containers have hinged top lids which allow the opening of half the diameter of the cylindrical containers. The drain valves are traditionally located at the bottom. As standard, these are flap models, but optionally they can be replaced with more technologically advanced solutions. Agitator tanks offer numerous advantages. It is worth considering investing in them - it will certainly pay off very quickly.
